Feeding your Bulldog when they have an upset stomach
When your bulldog has an upset stomach, diarrhea, or vomiting a bland diet can help relieve some of these not
so fun symptoms. These symptoms can be a sign of a more serious problem, so if a bland diet doesn’t help a
trip to your veterinarian to rule out a more serious problem is in order.
Chicken and rice
Chicken and rice are mild foods that sit well on an upset stomach. You will need boneless chicken ( never feed
the bones ) and white rice ( white rice is better than brown rice for an upset stomach ) Boil the chicken ( no
seasonings ) until it is cooked thoroughly. Cut or shred the chicken into small pieces and add to your cooked rice
( you can add some of the chicken broth ) I like to feed small amounts frequently ( every 2 to 3 hours ) so you
don’t overload the stomach.
Baby Food
Meat baby food is easy to digest, and can be added to the chicken and rice ( small amount ) to help entice a
dog to eat. I like to use the chicken or turkey . Stick with the blander baby foods, and stay away from the meat
baby food like ham.
Feed small amounts at a time, if your bulldog keeps it down you can give a small amount every few hours.
